Very dissapointed

Stayed at Ackergill as part of our North Coast 500 road trip.

It was the most expensive Accomodation by £100.00. Staff great, castle beautiful, food so dissapointing.- roasted potato was pale and uncooked. I ordered medium beef, it came mostly rare. 2 pieces I could not eat as raw and cold. Desert of creme brûlée was grainy and not at all caramelised on the top. Full cooked breakfast was everything from overcooked mushrooms and sausage to all but raw tomatoe, cold beans and underdone bacon. Toast was just perfect. Our room, Nun's was the name of it was just beautiful. Bed was so comfortable, pillows perfect but the shower room needed updating. Shower was antiquated, door only opened 3/4 as it came against the toilet, and the door had dropped so was difficult to open. But the shower did work as it should. Over all this was too expensive for the experience we received. Would not stay there again.
