Excellent value for money.
Clean, room is decent and the staff friendly. I'd stay here again.
Wish we had known about the match day.
We stayed on the Saturday afternoon to go out in central Birmingham.
It was a good location with easy access to the city. The staff were friendly and accommodatiing.
The following day, we were informed it was match day as the football ground was directly behind the hotel. As check out was at 11am we headed out of our room at 10am to find hundreds of football fans crammed into a tiny courtyard with pints of beer, bottles and people ON and around our vehicles. This made it impossible to get out of the car park and the shutters had been pulled down to stop us being able to get out. We decided to head into central Birmingham until half time when we could get the cars out slightly easier as there would be less people outside. At this point, one of the staff members was not very helpful and told us that we shouldn't have even been in the hotel at that time.
This type of customer service really ruined the experience as we were made to feel like we had done something wrong when in fact, if we had been informed to move our cars the night before to allow a simple exit from the venue then we would have been happy.
I would never recommend this as a hotel to stay in around Match day.
