Lovely village. Must go back in Summer.
Stayed one night.
Made use of pool and sauna. Lovely hotel but at end of season only other guests were old folk. Staff were kept busy but were extremely helpful and polite. Will go back to this stunning village in the summer.
We arrived in the evening after a long drive to check into a dingy reception.
We were asked to make payment up front something we had not experienced before during our tour of Scotland. Our room was in the back of the hotel, the hotel is damp, dark and smells and our room was even worse. There was paper peeling of wall, the shower was a hole in the wall with a mouldy shower curtain and the TV was from the 1980,s' hence we complained and got moved to a different room which wasn't much better in a separate annex behind the hotel. The room was slightly larger but the same quality of cleanliness and again an old TV which didn't have ITV. We also couldn't get a Wifi connection.Again we complained to get told that you couldn't get ITV in this hotel and the Wifi wasn't there fault it was BT, although the receptionist did state that the router was broke in the original room we got but she failed to mention that originally. In the morning breakfast was poor with poached eggs being served on soggy bread not toast on a side plate not a normal plate. To top it all on check out the receptionist attempted to bill us for a evening meal and a bottle of wine we hadn't had. Truely awful experience worst hotel we have ever stayed in, thank god it was only one night.
