Good all round
Our reason for staying was we had a wedding just down the road.
The room was OK nothing too fancy, clean and had all the amenities we would need i.e. iron and hairdryer. Staff very polite and friendly; organising taxi to the wedding, getting us specialist veggie sausages, directions, loan of a cigarette lighter (apologies to the security guy this did not get returned). Amazing gardens, great for exploring. Didn't get to check out the gym or sauna :(
Personally a little expensive ,but I would recommend.
A birthdy suprise turned sour
I surprised my husband for a birthday treat to a stay at what appeared to be a stunning hotel.
The building is stunning, but the hotel aspect is poor. Everything from the staff to the food to the style to the ambience is seriously lacking. I would love to bring it up to standard.
