Disappointing in every way
From the outside the hotel looks good.
Checked in and still was happy with the hotel. Came out of the lift and saw my room right next to the lift and my heart sank big time. For over £120 for the night, I was hoping for at least a double bed, who wants to sleep in a single bed apart from 5 year olds. The room and en-suite was extremely compact. Because the room was located next to the lift I heard every conversation of people waiting for or getting out of the lift. The door to the bedroom was shaky and felt with a bit of effort someone could smash it open. My biggest bug was the air-con and the quilt. The room was very warm as I walked in (21 degC), tried to start the air-con to cool things down, the fan was too noisy to sleep with it on so had to switch it off. Then sleeping with the quilt was impossible, it must of been Tog 12 as a minimum. This meant if you like the feel of something covering you whilst you slept it would be uncomfortable. I woke up several times in a pool of sweat. Why can't hotels provide a lighter quilt and throw when buildings/hotels are this warm. Is that too hard to figure out. The decorative quilty thing at the bottom of the bed in the corporate colours just put my over the edge I am just kicked it off the bed in a sweaty rage during the night. Come on hotels think about what you are charging for what you are offering. I had booked this room at least three weeks in advance, so how was I stuck with such an awful room.
Corus Hotel Hyde Park
Room and bathroom the smallest I have ever experienced.
