Poor standard of room

We were aware when booking the room it was a small room with restriction of the bed being next to the wall.

However we were not made aware that the bed would not even be a full size double bed, That the bathroom door wouldn't close shut, or the outside window and that we were above a very busy street where because we couldn't shut our window we had a lot of noise until early hour of the morning. I am 8 and half months pregnant and I have a basic double at home and this bed was not a double and not enough room for us. We were also put on the 5th (top) floor which was fine as we could use the lift, however this wasn't suitable when the fire alarm woke us up at 6AM sunday morning and the lifts were out of action. I also have pelvic girdle pain which is a symptom related to pregnancy and was in a lot of pain after getting down 5 floors of stairs. The organisation of the fire alarm was very poor, non of the staff knew what they were doing. They didn't even know where the assembly point was so everyone was gathering outside the main entrance in the rain, not being dressed appropriately for this etc. The chef was given the task of trying to find out which rooms had vacated but didnt get round everyone and also seemed very nervous as he said he had never done this before so had no idea what to do. Overal what should have been a special occasion was spoiled by our experience of this hotel.
