The Oak House is a shining example of Somerset accommodation, with comfortable en suite rooms offering all the modern amenities you would expect.

The Oak House
This is a lovely setting hotel in a quaint old village.
The building is superb with the old beams and log fire. Only thing that let it down was the room. Whilst comfortable it was very cold and the heating was not working. They knew there was a problem as they were not surprised when I phoned reception. They bought additional heaters but could have fixed this earlier before we arrived. There was also a problem with the sink in the bathroom. Overall, a lovely hotel but they just need to be more alert to maintenance. There are only about 10 rooms so can't be a massive overhead to make sure simple things work. Shame because it lets the hotel down and for this reason we did not see it as good value for money. Would we stay here again or recommend it. Not sure, Let's see if there is any response from the management.
