About the hotel
The Graham Arms is a former Coaching Inn and was built about 200 years ago. In days gone by, the hotel was an overnight coaching stop; the horses would be put to graze in the fields to the rear of the hotel (long since built on) or, rested overnight in the hotel stables before continuing their journey to Edinburgh or London. Once the coaches had been cleaned and serviced, they were "garaged" in one of the two coaching stables at the rear of the building.
The Graham Arms and Longtown make an ideal touring base for Scotland's Solway Coast & Border Regions, the English Lake District, Kielder Forest, Hadrian's Wall, romantic Gretna Green and of course the historic City of Carlisle. The hotel has recently won an award for the second year running making us ‘Carlisle District and Eden Best Bar None Winners’ (Rural Catergory) for 2011 and 2012.

Graham Arms Hotel
Nice friendly clean hotel.
Graham Arms Hotel
Good hotel with clean rooms, situated on main road.
The hotel staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with tea/coffee and a tv, which is all I needed after a long day exploring Cumbria. Could hardly hear the traffic even though my room was facing the main road and didn't even hear noise from the pub. Breakfast was great and I would definitely recommend a stay here again!
