Stayed here recently on a trip down the A1.
Perfectly located in a beautiful village, yet hardly any distance from the main routes of the A1 and A14. The hotel is full of character and every member of staff very friendly and efficient. We had an evening meal and were able to choose from either traditional 'pub grub' or one of the specials. My partner had the beef stew from the specials board and the only criticism of the entire stay was that his meal was so salty and left such a terrible taste in his mouth that he struggled to quench his thirst throughout the rest of the evening and night.
In fairness to the hotel, he didn't say anything and even ate it all.
