Perfect spot in Venice. Stylish, modern and perfectly placed.
We had a great stay at the Gio & Gio B&B.
Perfectly located within minutes of St Marks Square and easy access to the rest of the city by foot or vaparetto.
The room was a great mix of classic Venitian with modern touches and very spacious. The suite we stayed in looked out over a small canal and we delighted in the comings and goings of Venitian life on the water as well as amusing Gondoliers passing by. The en suite bathroom was serviceable and just had a shower. The only reason we didn't give full marks were that the air-con didn't work (fine in April but check if you go in the summer) and the breakfast whilst plentiful was mainly fruit and processed sweet breads and pastries, which was ok for a short stay but you might want to head out for something more varied if staying longer. We did however manage to make it go further with additions from the Rialto Market for a packed lunch or two which gave us more time to enjoy the city.
We would definitely return. It's a stylish and affordable place to stay without the stuffy floral patterns of other places in a similar price range. A home from home.
