Chelsea Flower show trip
I used Tripadvisor when choosing this hotel.
The generalised comments from previous guests were validated during our stay- the staff were very helpful and polite, the room was clean, tidy and well appointed (microwave). As highlighted the room was slightly on the small side. The hotel location was great - a very pleasant walk through Kennsington and along the Thames Embankment to the Chelsea hospital.
Booked through Laterooms.
We were put in a basement room with no natural light. It smelt damp. Disappointed.
Business Trip to London for 2 nights
Very clean and efficient hotel within good access to Transport links and City Mile.
Clean rooms and very comfortable with good breakfast choice. If I had any very minor suggestion the Business Lounge could have been a little larger. Very good value for money hotel.
For the price that I paid for the room, I do not believe this was value for money.
Receptionists were helpful, however my big problem was the room. The room given to me was situated in the ground floor, upon arrival I noticed the room was incredibly small. Upon closer inspection only one person could open the wardrobe at a time, the windows were extremely filthy, with pigeon poo on the outside of the windows, black dirt and grime across the window sill (looking like it hasn't been cleaned in a while). Sleeping wasn't enjoyable as the Pigeons were purring all night, the smell in our room was awful, heating did not work, lack of ventilation (Being in the lower ground floor contributed to that)
For the price that I paid I expected a better quality room, the lobby floor was dirty, as well as the surrounding fixtures in the passage was in need of an upgrade. In as much as it was a one night stay, I expected a much better service for the price that I paid (£84 in total)
Park Grand London Kensington
Would recommend this hotel 100%.
Only fault was staff not paying attention to do not disturb
I booked this hotel using LateRooms and made and advance purchase, I was contacted by the hotel the day of arrival and was asked to swap hotels to Park Grand Paddington and because of the inconvenience breakfast would be included free of charge.
On arrival we had a small problem as the hotel had been booked and paid in full but the new hotel had me down as non payment, this took a few minutes and phone calls to sort out but all was good in the end. My room was in the basement with a frosted glass window not allowing and view, however the room was very quiet and very smart with a lovely walk in shower.
A poor quality and were awoke with constant noise outside of the room from approx 6.30am
Would not book this hotel again, a very bad experience, worse experience at a hotel
Loved it .
Great location staff and food
Premium Hotel with affordable prices!
What can I say.
On arrival we were told we had been given a free upgrade. Room was simply amazing - very modern; Super king bed, mini-bar, fruit, fridge, microwave, chair with footstall, lovely bathroom with bath, regular shower and a rain shower. For £81 I was gobsmacked. Would definitely stay here again.
Good central location, helpful unobtrusive staff. Room clean, comfortable and serviceable. Gd value.
Valued the small details such as magnifying mirror in bathroom plus main mirror not steaming up. Small point, a smaller wash basin would provide bit more space for toiletries . Also, the panel for zzz informing housekeepers of room occupation is great idea and useful yet if used the red light in hallway is reflected in the fab full sized mirrors whilst in bed so was a little tiresome. Particularly as the hotel is obviously trying to cater for clients comfort. Also very small point, housekeeping didn't notice to change the time on microwave clock on morning of clocks going forward. Was surprised by this because the hotels attention to detail is very apparent. Hope you find this feedback helpful.
