good place to stay
not easy to find at first, as it is an appartment made to a hostel, but the responsible was very helpfull when I called. The place is cosy with its 6 rooms so there is not really a hostel atmosphere and always bathroom and shower available. It has rooms tipical for Barcelona/Spain: tiny middle rooms without sun light, bigger room with proper windows onto the street (louder). But it has a wonderful terrace, with plants, where you spend most of the time when you are in the hostel. Really recommendable. The people are friendly and helpfull, the cleaning lady tends to sing when cleaning but besides the high tunes it is more funny then disturbing. :)
Breakfest is not really a hit. Toast, 2 sorts of marmelade, butter, orange juice and coffee (if you make it yourself). However it was enough to start a day. The place is clean.

Hard to find is an understatement and it is a Hostel
Unlike anything else I have booked on late rooms the owner needs to be called in order to meet you there as he is not on the premises. Unfortunately there is no sign on the door giving a phone number. In fact there is no sign anywhere to let you know that you have found the correct door in the building.
Other irritants:
the extremely low levels of light in the rooms as the low wattage bulbs provided are very weak;
The manager noisily giving a tour of the premises to new arrivals at 1.30 am;
That said once you find it the location is great and the it is cheap by Barcelona standards and if you just want a place to crash which has a decent kitchen and a nice shared area then this is fine.

Hard to find but a very nice place indeed
The hostel has a very small sign and office is in other place so it's a bit of a mess to find for a Bcn first-timer. Room (no. 3) for 3 people was nice and clean, no complaints. Also kitchen and other common rooms are very nice, clean, modern with a dash of old school and a nice mix of Ikea furniture (knives are useless for left handers). There is wifi internet, a computer, radio, and a very big terrace. All in all we were all very satisfied. It is a quiet place so you can take a proper rest after noisy days and nights in Bcn. There are two bathrooms (with toilettes) and one separate toilette, that are all cleaned every day - no panic for waiting. Two shops are nearby if you tend to cook by yourself. Verdaguer and Diagonal Metro stations are also close so you can get anywhere in 20 minutes.
