The Hotel looks great from the outside but is little tired and worn out on the inside. The staff are very friendly but didn't seem keen on wanting our custom for Christmas Day lunch as they already had some 300 guests booked. On another point, everytime we entered the hotel lobby you could smell the drains which is really off-putting, they need to get this addressed. The electricity kept 'tripping out' in the bedroom for some reason and you would be plunged into darkness (207) There is a roof top bar, which was only open some of the time that we were there ( 22-28th December) They leave the area open even when the bar is closed, so we took our own drinks up there, the views are great. Overall I was pleased with the Hotel and location which is a short distance from the main attractions and over the road from local transport, shops, cafes and restuarants. Tip: If you buy your Barcelona City Tour tickets at the Reception you get a discount of two euros each.

Gran Havana Hotel
Sachets of coffee and biscuits would have been appreciated
We ordered a double room and got 2 three quarter size beds pushed together
We were in room 107 on the first floor and there was noise from the taxi rank outside throughout the night

Such a shame.
Lovely Hotel, nice room and in a good location. Such a shame that the bar at the roof top pool was having a re-fit (in the middle of June?). It took staff 4 days to explain to us that the kettle could ONLY be used in the bathroom after it blew the trip/fuse every time we plugged it in.

no record of us when we arrived even though we had our booking referance code
I booked the room for my son Eoin Mc Ginley - when he arrived there was no record of the booking even though he had a booking referance code as supplied by your company. After much hassle he called me and I had to email on the confirmation to the hotel reception - it then got sorted. Couple of things I would like to point out . My son and his girlfriend had there phones stolen on the 1st day of their holidays, so they has to resort to using public pay phones. Secondly if I had not been contactable and not near my computer to email on your confirmation email ---what would have happened? 5 . I would like your comments on this as I had been singing the priases of the lateroom.com service This was my first time and we had this major problem.
