Budget motel
This is an average budget motel passing itself off as a hotel and charging hotel rates.

Great alternative to city hotels
Just 15 minutes ( at most) from Newcastle and you are out in the country.
Great staff, room and food.
No more city centre for me.

Staff were friendly and helpful
Breakfast food was good quality and well cooked but portions very mean
Day/evening meals were good quality, fair price and adequate helpings.
Room OK but spoiled by shower curtain fixed inside the bath so it wrapped itself around you (not pleasant)

Fabulous hotel and 5* evening meal
Very happy with accommodation and evening meal. Only slight moan is about the size of the Full English breakfast which was very small for an adult.

Ravensworth arms
The ravensworth arms hotel is in a beautiful part of the countryside with stunning views of farmland and the angel of the north. The room was spacious and modern but keeping with the country theme. The only issue we had with the room was the noise from the downstairs toilet in the restaurant ( hand blowers), the noise stopped whenever the restaurant stopped serving food but for somebody who needed an early night because of the great north run the noise wasn't appreciated at all. The food in the restaurant was faultless and would recommend to anybody. The breakfast was also superb with a wide selection. Overall the experience of the Ramsworth Arms was a very good one (apart from the noise). The staff were very pleasant and helpful and made us feel welcome.

Extractor fan in bathroom made a noise all night. Staff rectified it the next day, very helpful. Nice curtains, but no end pieces on rails in rooms so curtains tend to slip off which is a shame.
