Enjoyed the stay at the King Head , staff were very professional and couldn't do enough for our group.
One member of staff even we n moved her car so I could park mine in the Hotel car park.
Excellent staff, lovely bar but noisey at weekends
Stayed Saturday & Sunday knowing the bar was open till 1am on Saturday and would be noisey.
Room nos 1 was right above bar so no earplugs drowned out noise however every interaction with any of the staff was excellent. The breakfast was included however lacked basic foods, eg. Bread, butter, jam, fruit, muesli. All the hot food on the menu was included which was good, Freshly made coffee, pastries, boxes of Kellogg's cereal & weetabix & fruit yogurts. Parking was limited & very tight spaces. Sunday was quiet & ate in restaurant which had a lovely ambience. Bed very comfortable, room was big with lots of hanging space and spacious bathroom with good shower. Rooms to be refurbished October.
Stayed at this hotel on a Friday night on arrival I was welcomed with smiles from the staff and they couldnt do enough for me
My single room was very clean and comfortable
The music from the bar went on until 0100 am but that's expected on a weekend over all I had a wounderful time and will be staying at this hotel again
Although the hotel was very nice our stay was on a Friday night and the hotle run a music bar Fri and Sat nights.
It was very, VERY noisy with the thump thump thump of music till 1.00. Be warned!
we were not impressed.
We stayed here based upon the description and location for our sons graduation.
The rooms were small and in need of updating old and tatty furnishings. The staff during the day when we arrived were helpful and friendly. unfortunately the evening staff were not the same.Breakfast was very poor due to it having been cooked sometime before and kept on a hot plate...or at least thats how it appeared. We will not recommend this hotel or book again.
Very Average, VERY noisy
My partner and I were visiting Beverley for a wedding and whilst all of our friends chose to stay in cheaper accommodation we thought we'd pay a little extra to stay at the King's Head.
This turned out to be an error. On the first night (Fri) there was a disco directly below our room that went on until the early hours and then at about 05:30 the market traders started setting up their stalls just outside our room on the Sat morning. Our room was at the front of the hotel overlooking the Market. All this meant that we only got a couple of hours of sleep and felt dreadful on the day of the wedding. I'm 33 and am no stranger to going out and having a bit of fun/lack of sleep but this was extreme. The hotel itself was ok but effectively just some rooms above a very busy pub and it all felt a bit tacky. The only saving grace was that after we'd caught up on some sleep and came down late for breakfast on Sunday morning they still did us a full English (and that was pretty decent). If you stay here then make sure you get a room at the back. If that's not available then I'd suggest you stay elsewhere.
Very friendly busy town centre pub with lovely comfortable rooms
Really excellent and helpful staff.
Comfortable room. Great breakfast.
Excellent little place
Very happy with my stay, very nice hotel with clean, comfortable & quiet room.
Staff very friendly & it was excellent value with breakfast included.
Better than other places we have tried in same town. Can paticularly recommend Room 1 overlooking the market square.
