Very nice, helpful & polite Staff
A very helpful young lady registered us in on arrival.
She gave us advice on the local area and transport links and advised us how to get to our room.
Poor in need of some TLC
Stayed here for one night with my partner and 8 year old son as was in the area for a friends 40th birthday.
As there was a rugby event on we really struggled to find a family room anywhere despite booking 5 months in advance. The rooms were dirty and dated with stained carpets, chairs, bed bases and mattresses. There is no sound proofing in the rooms and hence we got no sleep due to the inconsiderate guests in the room above us they were banging and crashing around until 5am. There are squeaky floorboards everywhere. Shower tepid and broken so most of the water ran down the hose rather than out of the shower head. Breakfast was ok and the staff do try their best and were polite and friendly. Have tried to contact management to express concerns about state of room, but had no reply. We were charged the extortionate price of £150 for the night which we had to pay on arrival, this place is worth £30-£40 at best. Ripped off due to the rugby event being on in the area. Steer clear...
Fantastic staff always happy to help.
the hotel was nice.
very quiet because of the time of the year
Hotel staff very friendly and go out there way to assist you, very friendly and helpful, lovely room however despite it saying it has sky in room it wasn't sky it's bog standard free view, also on the site it's says there is an phone in the room however there wasn't, and we booked for three nights bed and breakfast and late rooms had sent it through as room only which when I notified the hotel was very helpful, after all it wasn't the hotel at fault it was late rooms that are to blame
Value for Money but Noisy
Very friendly staff and keen to help, but can not comment on the noise as previous reviews did mention the local nightclub which was noisy until the early hours of the morning but overall value for money, the kids enjoyed as it was a very short walk to the beach....
and dog friendly.... Rooms very clean but basic.
Sure it's fine for getting your head down after a stag do, otherwise a bit shabby.
Noisy from either the nightclub at one end of the hotel or from the shouting drunks in the street outside coming out of the numerous bars on the road.
The hotel could do with being updated. The issues included worn carpet and wooden flooring, a very dodgy window in my room and creaking floor boards in the corridors
Generally very good ... But one problem
Nothing wrong with the hotel ...
Good parking ... Friendly staff ... Clean and spacious room .. And positioned within easy walking distance of shops and sea front
Only problem we had was room neighbours. Unfortunately, group of drunken lads were on our floor and made a real racket at 3am in the morning. The hotel is positioned next to some nightclubs so Saturday night was probably not the best time to be there ... Shame really
When I arrived at the hotel my booking was for the day before hotels error no room available the room was shabby n had a partition wall only for an American guy vacating his room he gave it us not happy at all
