Run of the mill hotel
Stay in Douglas one or two nights a week a couple of times a year.
First time at this hotel as preferred choices were full.
On the positive side, the staff were friendly, the hotel convenient and generally clean.
I was in room 203 and it did suffer from pigeons fluttering and cooing outside the window all night. Only had a shower not a bath.
The fact there is only wifi in the reception area was frustrating and inconvenient for me.
When on the island I tend to have kippers for breakfast, the ones at this hotel were the worst so far; way overcooked.
Overall, being £5 or £10 more expensive than my normal spend, I was expecting something at least on a par. Won't be stopping here again.

Excellent
Really enjoyed our stay, room was large and clean with tea/coffee/hairdryer/etc, and we had a sea view. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choice. Cannot fault anything and would definitely stay here again.

nice room but disturbed sleep
Didn't receive the booked wake up call. If I hadn't set my phone alarm would have missed the ferry!! Too noisy during the night, creaky floorboards and smokers on the front stairs at 3 am every night.
Lovely room though and spotless.
No peppermint tea which was disappointing

Hardly a Sleepwell Hotel!
Old hotel with Victorian appointments; for example corridors 2ft wide corridors, no fire extinguishers in sight, frighteningly illegal in today.
Hard beds
Noisy bar in basement
