Wonderful Hotel
The hotel was lovely, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Right in the middle of the high street it was within easy walking distance of pubs, restaurants and shops. It was also only a short walk to the lake. With the attached pizzeria and sports bar it meant we didn't need to go far to find very good food but we did try another restaurant in the town on one of our nights. Although I didn't have a chance to use it on this stay, I like the idea that you can use facilities at sister hotels throughout the lakes, which does include the spa.

Really helpful
Stayed in Skiddaw Hotel right next door because of refurbish at booked hotel which we were told about straight after we had booked. It wasn't until we arrived at the hotel that we realised the extent of the work. However the Skiddaw is linked to the Kings Arms Hotel and they couldn't have been more helpful. We were given room 16 which had been refurbished and it was wonderful. Massive comfy bed, new decor throughout, lovely white crisp sheets, a bath we could both get into, big white bath towels and plenty of refreshments and biscuits. Breakfast was included in the £91 which was very good. I had kippers they were really tasty with a couple of poached eggs on the side. Car parking permit to use in car park at back, really good. Location fantastic. Found a lovely Pizza place Bella Italian just round the corner. Would definitely stay again, on our return the Hotel emailed us with a great offer if we return, a free upgrade. Very good all round.

Right on the high street. Car park is a 5 minute walk away and u get a parking permit which was useful. An ok place to stay for location purposes - we didnt eat here so cannot comment on the food. Staff friendly enough. Would stay again for one night if passing through again.
