Booked to stay here very last minute (room only) so was the only place left in the centre of Harrogate and price had been inflated as you would expect.
Bit of a nightmare with carpark (barrier down and apparently full but then got to reception to be told it wasn't and to go back to move car from conference centre to theirs (still said full but did find space once they finally opened barrier..) - just a bit of a chew and wasted time. Room was ok but could have easily fit a king sized bed in room - instead was a double. Large cobweb on light fitting too. Staff in bar were friendly and served good coffee!
Holiday Inn HARROGATE
Stay at Harrogate.
Ideal for a city break!
Great hotel, great rooms and very good food from the restraunt which was a surprise.
Great service from the bar staff also. Only let down for me was the 7 pound a night charge for parking....not a great deal I know but kind of feels wrong on principle when your already spending good money with them.
The bed was very uncomfortable as it was two beds push together.
They moved apart during the night and my wife was in the gap. If I went back to a Holiday Inn I would definitely ask for a proper double bed. Plus I got woken up by the noise of someone in another room using the toilet (not nice).
Value for money.
We paid £50 for a double room on a Friday night.
The location is excellent and the room was clean and modern. Parking is good value at £7. For this price you can't go wrong.
no wifi, what didnt pay extra
the hotel was nice and I was happy with what I got but breakfast at £10 is a bit expensive and because I wasn't part of their hotel chain's group exclusive member club and/or I didn't pay for breakfast I wasn't entitled to free sorry not so free wifi - surely in this day and age wifi is now part of everything and this is the first hotel I've stayed at in a while where is was classed as an expensive optional extra - I thought that was poor.
Short break in Harrogate
The hotel was clean centrally placed and reasonably priced car parking.
All in all a good place to stay.
Short stay at Harrogate
The hotel location was excellent the room was reasonable but not good for an executive room.
The breakfast was very good.
Good city centre hotel
Stayed at the Holiday inn for 2 night in late July.
Hotel was clean and the room comfortable without being outstanding. All the staff we met were friendly, helpful and professional. Didn't eat in the hotel but the bar area was definitely dated and some of the furniture, especially the sofas needed replacing. Underground car park at £7/day was a bonus especially this close to the centre of Harrogate.
Harrogate stop over
We stayed in this hotel for one night on our way to Scotland.
As has been said in other reviews the staff are very friendly and helpful. Hotel is convenient to Harrogate centre. Car parking cost £7 and, even though we had checked out, we were able to leave car to have another wander around the town before continuing our journey northwards. Would be more than happy to use this hotel again.
