Room for improvement
Hotel receptionists were brilliant, just what you would expect. The room was nice a warm and cozy and provided what we needed. Our only concern was at breakfast. After being seated and given a menu we waited ten minutes for anyone to take our order. I had to go to the bar area in the end to ask a waiter to take out order as the two waiters were to busy talking to each other ! We had to ask for coffee, white bread for toast and Orange juice as it had ran out. We had to asked for a second cup of coffee which on arrival was like treacle. The Breakfast it's self was very good and most enjoyable. It's a shame the staff let us and you down.

reception staff were rude and unprofessional - staff gathered in a group & didnt acknowledge guest. Room was dirty & tired, dead flies in ceiling lightshade, mould in bathroom, pool area and area from changing rooms to pool, dirty, dangerous & need of a facelift. Bad window condensation, evidence of damp throughout hotel. Given the location, size of facility, size of grounds - with investment into the decor / cleanliness, professional & couteous staff, could be a great hotel.

Unable to locate hotel using hotel postcode and SATNAV.
Bedroom small, too hot, and noisy if window opened. No door / partition between toilet and shower meant whole room (walls and floor ) remained wet after shower - extractor fan not working.

Good links to Manchester centre
Booked this hotel due to proximity to centre of Manchester and good access into city without driving in. Hotel room itself was very clean but very 'compact'... Leisure facilities were excellent. Would stay here again but would look at upgrading room to a larger size. This should have been classed as a single room as two people cannot walk round at same time. There was a party going on in hotel which didn't impact on our stay at all. All in all a very good hotel an facilities. Staff very helpful.

Stay at Waterside
good value and nice to have access to health club facilities. Only negative was that breakfast was marred by having to eat it in installments as kitchen unable to manAge a late surge of guests.

Size of room
Reckoned to be a double room it is rather a single room with a three quarter size bed. No reading light or bedside table possible. Overall space for clothes meagre. The cleanliness and towel provision were satisfactory. But the room certainly did not warrant description as a double! As we only stayed one night we did not complain though it is a disincentive to book again for a longer period unless other rooms are available,
