Good customer service.
Originally booked into a room which was cold.
Staff quickly arranged for me to move into another room.
Beautiful place to stay
Really beautiful building.
The main house was superb!
Needs renovating to match the high standards of other De Vere hotels
We have stayed in several De vere hotels and this one wasn't to the normal standard.
Reception was out standing with the Christmas trees. However the swimming pool area needs updating and so do the bedrooms. Breakfast was lovely and staff were friendly.
The food was excellent for breakfast and evening meal.
The pool was a bit small and an odd shape. Other than that it was ok
This was a wonderful venue to stay at.
Clean, beautiful surroundings, excellent facilities, and great food. The venue is definitely different from your standard hotels, so worth paying out a little extra to stay here. Highly recommended.
A little overpriced
We stayed here as it was convenient for an event we were attending at Steventon House.
Staff were brilliant but the room was pretty overpriced and dated.
The service and the room were lovely, but the restaurant and drinks were overpriced (£11 for a large house wine).
1 night stay
The room was okay but not worth £179 for 1 night at all, it was freezing and the shower was boiling hot and the cold tap wouldn't work so we couldn't have a shower!
I was a bit disappointed
The bathroom of 209 in the garden rooms was a bit grubby, behind the toilet did not look like it had been cleaned, the towel rail was rusty and the plug hole looked dirty, windows had flaking paint work and damp.
We ate in on the first night, My husband had Pizza and fries, pizza was cold, we didn't complain, husband was too hungry. I had Ploughmans', both very poor for the cost. We were woke at 9.15 by house keeping, We put our do not disturb, but cleaners very noisy, raised voices - too noisy for us to rest. Other than these complaints the building was beautiful and the bar staff and reception were fault less.
