Disappointing stop
Lets just make a list of what happened, some are trivial some are annoying:
Key didnt work
Gave us a double room not a twin and told me there were no twins available, was put in two separate rooms.
Ignored at bar for twn minutes despite the receptionist seeing me there. Had to ask her to get someone.
Room I was sat in having a drink was shut and lights turned out when I went to get my book.
Fire alarm at 4 in the morning. Not told why it went off.
Asked for Magerine at breakfast, told they had none as 'order hadn't arrived'
Tried to overcharge me for breakfast and told me I was room only. Had to get e mail to show I had already paid for breakfast.
When i complained I was offered a discounted room for the future and a free game of golf (a game that neither myself or my mum who was on the trip with me play!)

Three night stay
We booked early and got a good deal. However, we decided not to bother with breakfast as it was an expensive extra and we only get excited about a cooked breakfast on the first morning and then it seems like too much after that !
The views were lovely and I walked early around the golf course before most of the golfers were out. Lots of wildflowers and birds about.
The room service was quick and helpful and I found time to visit the spa. Unfortunately there were two rather large people in the jacuzzi so I didn't manage to get in it !
Drinks in the cocktail bar were very expensive but there is a good inn on the site and the lunch we had on Sunday there was excellent but the service at the bar was very slow.
There were two weddings that weekend and seemed to be going well when we got back from ours late at night. But we could not hear any of the loud music and revelry from our room on the second floor nor our friends on the ground not far away.
