Convenient - but not great
The hotel was convenient for catching a flight the next morning. We were checked in efficiently and parked our car for free. The parking lot had some interesting characters about, so we did not leave anything in our vehicle. The room was very outdated and only marginally clean. The TV was only able to tune in one station. The Wifi did work fine. The hallway had a terrible smell - similar to vinegar. It was very noisy due to traffic outside the hotel. Basically a good hotel if you need to catch an early flight and don't want to spend much. But if you are looking for a good night's sleep you might want to look elsewhere.

The building is dated, outside needs painting. internally the room was clean and reasonable size. The rest of the hotel is old and worn. Good value for the money, but will not stay there again.

This hotel serves a purpose and is good value for money
If you're looking for marble floors etc you need to pay for that, and this is not the hotel for you..I would stay at this hotel again for an overnight visit to Manchester. Good value for money, I dont hang around in hotels on overnight stays, check in go out come back and hit the sack.. for this purpose, it is a good hotel.

Please don't waste money staying here!
Arrived 10pm at night, no food available, but take away menus were offered. I tried the vending machines, but none of them worked.
The hotel looks like it has not been refurbished in many years. The decor is tired and worn.
One of the three lifts was broken and the one that arrived first, didn't have a button for my floor, and a printed note was stuck above the panel telling people requiring this floor should get another lift.
The corridors were dirty and the overall feel of the place was dark and dingy.
The bed was OK at best, but there was only one plug socket, which was being used by the digital TV receiver.
Awful place.

Fine for the price
Stayed after a late flight. Good location, clean room, not the nicest of buildings but only there for 10 hours. Quiet but hot although it was a hot evening.

Brittania Airport Hotel Manchester
We had a very poor night's sleep and had to be up at 5.00. The noise of the motorway traffic less than 100 yds away and slip road 20 yds away meant it was very noisy all night and it was too hot to have the window closed. The matress was 3/4 size depite the headboard being a double making us hotter still. The room was tiny and not even big enough to open the suitcases on the floor. Had the rate been the full one for the room and not a late rooms reduction we would have complained to the hotel.
