Allowed to book in very early. Fantastic breakfast.
Room was tired in comparison to public areas of hotel and mattress definitely needed replacing, slept on sofa, it was more comfortable, husband endured a night without sleep.
Prior to booking again I would enquire with regard to any room refurbishments.
Very pleasant stay.
becareful which room you get!
We stayed in 104 and on Saturday there was a wedding party on and we could hear the people and music till late, the wedding guess made a lot of noise going down the hall.
Felt like a cheap pub!!. Outstanding was the lady who take our names for breakfast and took us to our seats, happy, postive and proffessional. Some people had to wait a long time due to volume of customers on Sunday breakfast.
The room was fine apart from poor lighting : no overbed lighting to read books in bed , no standard lamp; for lighting had to have ceiling light on or one unmovable lamp on desk in far corner.
The breakfast was good but the evening meal was expensive and not very good
Steady as they come
Stayed for one night for business......name sounds very grand.....hotel isn't although grounds are very nice.Just feel the whole place needs a bit of TLC.....my room was so clinical.Liam on reception needs to lighten up and move away from the robotic script......maybe ask the customer how they are...what they are upto etc.....restaurant staff for breakfast were lovely and remembered my name from night before(nice touch)....overall for £55 b and b was reasonable value although just felt there was something missing at the place and cant quite put finger on it?
Only complaints was the long walk to the rooms and the old television and lack of channels in this day and age a flat screen TV and free view would be the least you could ask for
The whole experience was great.
Thank you to all the staff. One tiny point on the room. It would have been good to have two bedside tables and lamps and not just one as one of us ended up having to use the main light to read at night and nowhere to put things.
We live in London and were simply ending a reasonably priced overnight stay near Nottingham ...we were after visiting friend in the hospital and wanted to visit Peaks next day to make a weekend of it.
Eastwood best location for this. I was not expecting much given the price but it turned out to an exceptional hotel and deal. The staff were welcoming, thoughtful, efficient; gave us a superior room away from a possible disturbance from a Wedding Party, So a longer walk our room ( is big place) but insisted on carrying both our bags, then they went back to reception and brought us wine. A lovely room, clean, spacious, views out of countryside, quiet, great sleep and showers, exceptional breakfast and it catered us- a vegetarian and a Coeliac. Huge regret we could stay
longer as facilities and grounds look fab, would definitely return.a great deal thanks Late Rooms.
Need sky TV.
