midweek stay for 1 night for nearby wedding
Overall the hotel was fine, good location, big room, not too expensive. However the room was too hot and had no air con. Our room was right next door to the breakfast room which meant too much noise from 6.30 am onwards. Doors that dont slam would be good. Breakfast was continental and fine but the room was too small and had cramped access to the breakfast buffet. Would stay again if needed cheap city centre accommodation.

Great place for Edinburgh Stay
Clean, great location and friendly staff - great base for a stay in Edinburgh. Edoecialky impressed by friendliness of staff, cleanliness of room and good value breakfast. It's not fancy but it does everything you need at great value is you can spend your money on meals out and attractions. Got to be one of the best value hotels in any capital city. Highly recommended!

convenient, clean and quiet
Just off the end of Princes street, Premier Inn/Travelodge style accommodation which was clean, convenient and quiet despite overlooking the main street into the centre. Close to all major attractions of Princes street and EICC, gallery and castle. inexpensive and even provide free bottled water in room and fruit from the desk. just that little bit more than travelodge and Premier Inn!

Excellent City accommodation
Very central location. Just a stone throw from Princes Street and easy reach to all Edinburgh Attractions. The only thing I would say it's Not the Easiest when travelling by car with young children. And the Edinburgh traffic is crazy.

Excellent little hotel
As the title says, this is an excellent hotel. The location is very handy, 10 minute walk to the centre of Princes Street plus you have two bus stops right outside and a tram stop just 3 minute walk up the road. The breakfast is worth £4.95, plenty cereals, fruit, yogurt, pastries, bread, cheese, ham and coffees available and in a small but very neatly presented room. The room itself was perfect, we were in room 106 which is on the first floor, located near the breakfast room and facing out on to the Main Street. Despite being right on the road the room was silent, no traffic noise whatsoever and even being close to the breakfast room proved no problem. It has everything you need for a short stay, plenty tea and coffee (usually you get enough for 1 or 2 cups but there was at least 6 of everything) and the bed..... I've stayed in 4-5 star hotels and never had a bed as comfortable as this one. I struggled to get up in the morning because I was so comfy! The room has AC which is handy as the windows don't open (double glazed to cut out traffic noise), the bathroom is nice a very good size and clean. My only issue with the whole stay was that the shower randomly lost pressure but everything else was great.

Superb value for money
I haven't a single complaint. Affordable with lovely staff and well positioned, this budget hotel was exactly what I'd hoped it would be. If I'm being picky, I might mention how hot the rooms were, but when has that not been an issue in hotels? If you are looking for price and value, at this hotel you also get service and comfort as part of the deal. MarvellouZ

Terrific Location
The room was as small as one would expect from a budget hotel, but the welcome was warm, the breakfast generous and delicious and the location pretty much perfect for a visitor to Edinburgh.
