The Three Horseshoes Hotel
Greatly enjoyed our stay.
Enjoyed our stay, friendly, very comfortable, great place for exploring the town and area.
The room was immaculate.
Food was quite good. Was a little expensive considering the level of service was good but not amazing.
Two night break
We booked the accommodation a few days before on a bed and breakfast basis.
We were very impressed: the room was spacious, the bed comfy and the bathroom fabulous. We had an evening meal both nights, the food was excellent, the service good and the staff very friendly. Highly recommended.
Visiting the Bowes Museum
Chosen for proximity to the museum our stay in The Three Horseshoes became a relaxed holiday with plenty of local interest.
Nothing was too much to ask of all staff who were quietly very friendly and efficient. We enjoyed superbly cooked fare in a pleasant restaurant/bar. Behind a modest well preserved traditional inn exterior lies accommodation of exceptional quality in maintenance, modern craftsmanship and cleanliness. Bus stops right outside were useful. We now have pleasant memories.
Small but very comfortable room.
Staff at this establishment are so friendly and helpful.
Room was exceptionally clean , king size bed , choice of teas and coffee and hair dryer. Bathroom was really nice and had a lovely large shower everything you could want for a comftable stay. Breakfast was probably one of the nicest I have had in a long time. Can not fault this hotel and will definetly stay here again .
For a lone traveller this hotel made me feel very welcome - with clean well appointed, clean rooms and excellent food.
My only disappointment was they don't have Black Sheep beer on tap!
Very impressed with everything about the Three Horseshoes.
From the emails before we arrived, right through our stay, everything they could do right they did in spades. In our opinion this is what hotels should be like. Good beer and excellent food. Wish we'd booked more nights!
