Pleasant Surprise
Nice, spacious and clean room. No issues at all.
Would definitely stay again.
Only thing was that the creaking floor boards did start to get annoying after a while and the bathroom could do with a bin

You get what you pay for !!!
Stayed on a Sunday night. No food available. Only one 'real ale' on. No atmosphere in the bar but the few locals and staff were friendly. Room small but adequate. Bedroom and bathroom squeaked a lot.

Ran by nice friendly people but needs some TLC, shower was a pain taking forever to get barely warm.

Single room, overnight stay, October 2013
Room was basic but entirely adequate for an overnight stop and good value for what I wanted. Surface cleaning in the room was good, but could do with some deeper cleaning (e.g. some staining on carpet, some traces of mould in the corners of the shower screen).
Friendly staff, tasty cooked breakfast.
Some music was audible in the room from downstairs until around 11.15 p.m.
