Great 3 night stay
Great welcome on arrival by Sheila.
Help offered with our bags. Shown to our spacious and very nicely decorated and furnished en-suite room (shower, no bath). Offered a cuppa on arrival which was served in the lounge downstairs. Home made cakes plus some biscuits. Great powerful shower that warmed up very quickly. Very quiet and comfortable night. Loved the original shutters on the windows. Breakfast was offered 8am to 9am and we were first down. The breakfast is served at a single large dining table shared by all the guests. This was fine for us, but up to you if you like this. Good breakfast choice; cereals, fruit etc. Followed by a choice of cooked breakfast. I went for the "full English" each day. Seemed like good quality ingredients, which were well presented. Peter seems to do most of the serving with (I suspect) Sheila out in the kitchen doing the cooking. Nice to chat with Peter over breakfast who was happy to advise on dinner locations and anything else he could help with. Both great hosts. WiFi was good, if not particularly fast - fine for social media, web browsing, email etc. Things to consider
It is in a very rural spot. You need to drive 10-20 minutes to get to anywhere for dinner. The acid test for me is would I return. Yes, definitely if in the area again.
Excellent spot will definitely visit again
An excellent find, perfect locations to explore the local area.
A warm welcome on our arrival with tea and coffee in the drawing room. Extremely helpful hosts and lovely accommodation. Would recommend it to anyone and will stay again when we are next visiting the area.
Lovely accommodation in a great location.
Big room and views to die for. Communal dining at breakfast round one big table might not be for some but fine with us.

East Horton Farmhouse offers excellent accommodation in a 200yr old farmhouse in the countryside near Wooler.
Rooms are superb the location stunning and the breakfasts near perfect for whatever your day holds.
Good quality B&B
This is a good quality place to stay in a very nice country setting.
The rooms were large and traditionally furnished, clean and peaceful. The food was hot and tasty and cooked to order. A very nice place to stay. Recommended.
Wonderful stay in beautiful surroundings.
Perfect two night stay in this lovely location, which is off the beaten track but my wife and I will definitely return.A beautifully furnished house and a very warm welcome made this a most enjoyable experience.
Very English tranquility
This is an incredibly peaceful setting.
The room itself was huge, with lovely soft carpets and bedding which meant sleep came very easily. My husband loved his full English, eaten in an amazing Victorian parlour. Well worth the drive (through beautiful countryside and past lovely little cottages) to Bamburgh, Seahouses and Alnwick.
