Self Classified Guest House Ratings explained
Ellison Hall, Canning Street, , Hebburn, NE31 2UP
Welcome to Ellison Hall. Acquired by the Ellison family, merchant adventurers of Newcastle, Ellison Hall (also known as Hebburn Hall) is a 17th-century stately mansion. Robert Ellison, Sheriff and Member of Parliament for Newcastle, and his descendant Henry Ellison added their own personal twists to the manor to make it the grand building that stands today. With time, the building fell out of use as a residence and has since been used as a church, an infirmary and even a masonic temple. Recently, the building has been roused from its slumber and restored to its former glory; incorporating seven large apartments. Combining a modern style with the buildings Grade II listed features; every spacious apartment is designed and furnished to the highest standards with impeccable taste. Fully fitted kitchens and large living areas with all mod-cons, including free Wi-Fi internet access, are as standard. Private off-street parking is available at no extra charge. The building also benefits from its own private, communal garden area. The apartments are all available on a nightly basis, with no minimum stay, making them ideal for both corporate clients and visitors to the region who prefer that little bit more. At Ellison Hall guests benefit from the convenience of a hotel whilst also enjoying the space and freedom of apartment living. If youre looking to show a visiting client that you mean business, this could be the WOW factor you are looking for. With highly competitive rates and discounts for extended stays, no one is priced out of staying in this beautiful stately home. ***Pets may be welcome with prior arrangement, please contact us directly for more information.*** PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT ALL BOOKINGS ARE SUBJECT TO A DAMAGE DEPOSIT OF £250 PER APARTMENT. THIS PAYMENT WILL DUE ON THE DAY OF ARRIVAL AND REFUNDED ON THE DAY OF DEPARTURE PROVIDING NO DAMAGE HAS BEEN CAUSED TO THE APARTMENTS.

speechless
The title gives it away as far a a family stay is concerned never ever do it, bedding torn, heating system leaking badly, so many holes and dents, virtually no light bulbs working, not as advertised but.... and it's a big but, the entrance hall and staircase is stunning, quality of fittings is superb I.e. granite work tops, 2 complete bathrooms, lovely grounds, proper stately home stuff and sadly massively let down by up keep and issues that would take 5 minutes to sort bedrooms and furniture show total contempt for anyone wanting a luxury stay (which is what picture portray), never again and it's a real shame, but feel free to book if in the kind of group that is only out to party and only looking for somewhere to at your head after a nite out and good luck

House great, Area geordie beirut
House and grounds amazing, actual suite huge. Was clearly once an amazing building, but now very tired and showing wear expected from being used by contractors and hen/stag do's!!
Area is very rough though with no restaurants and very few takeaways. 20 minute drive to Newcastle centre, there is a train station a short walk from house though.

A PIANO!!
The apartment was very grand, as was the piano in the corner of the lounge! The building is fantastic and the Georgian proportions of the rooms were simply impressive. Whilst some of the furniture was a little cheap, for one night this didn't affect my stay and I would come back again. Remember, if you are staying you need to take your own towels, including a tea towel!
