A great nights sleep.
Really friendly and helpful staff . Loved the room too
The Grange was brilliant, away from the madding crowd but only awe minutes drive to the park and ride to get into Bristol.
Breakfast was first class, tasty ,hot and good portions. Had the annex which is for disabled people, very comfortable ,but the bed a little lumpy but still slept well. Staff were friendly and help full
Reasonable small hotel with Indian Restaurant in a good location for Bath and Bristol
Room was clean and reasonably furnished although beds/mattresses were a little tired and not particularly comfortable.
Location is good and easy to find. India restaurant attached to hotel is OK food up to the standard of any good Indian anywhere in the UK but not exceptional, good value though. Breakfast does not start until 0830 on weekends, Saturday and Sunday which means no breakfast if you need an early start as we did. Not too impressed as price is for bed and breakfast, but no breakfast available and as reception is unmanned at night you cannot ask for an alternative.
Simple but effective accessible room
I really appreciated the simplicity of how this room has been made into an accessible room.
It wasn't over the top, it had a ramp to the door of the room, a few grab rails and a garden chair to use in the shower. For me this is perfect.
When I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted by a very friendly lady who helped me to my room and gave me all the information I needed. Please note, there are a couple of steps if you use the front door, if steps aren't your thing you are able to use the side entrance which is mostly flat.
In the room, a twin room had been provided. I'm not sure if it could also be made up as a double as I didn't ask but it would be great if it was possible. The room was clean and nicely decorated. My only criticisms of the room would be that there wasn't any information relating to breakfast and checkout times which would have been very useful for those of us that are a little forgetful and there was no phone in the room to contact reception.
During my stay, reception was infrequently manned. A phone number was provided to contact whoever was on call but a landline on recruiting l reception or a way to contact them in case you do not have a mobile phone should be considered.
Breakfast was lovely and the young lady serving was excellent although a little rush off her feet.
All in all a very nice hotel and with a few tweaks it could be excellent.
Noisy and hot
The single room that I was provided with was on the third floor at the front of the hotel against a busy road.
The room was very hot and I had to have the window open to breath, this made it very noisy and it was only because I am deaf in one ear that I could sleep. Although WiFi was advertised in every room there was no single in this room. very irritating.
The Grange Hotel
Very clean & commfortable bed, but would benifite from a tube chair to relax/watch TV.
Would benefit from echilon parking to accommodate more cars.
Good budget hotel
lovely hotel although bed was a bit hard.massive bathroom more like a bedroom
No-one on Reception when I arrived and had to contact the Indian Restaurant next door.
This did alarm me as I thought what would have happened in the event of a fire, it would have obviously been every person for themselves, with no staff around to help any of the guests staying on the premises. I also didn't like the fact that the payment for the rooms had already been deducted, I thought the agreement on line was to deduct payment once I had booked in or if I had not booked in.
The mattress that I slept on was too soft and I put rolling to one side and I felt like I was going to fall out of bed, therefore I had a poor night's sleep. I felt the hotel was basic and overpriced.
