Christmas break
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Raithwaite Hall as a one night break between Xmas and New Year. The spa facilities are excellent along with the friendliness of staff and size of bedroom. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and we had an excellent night's sleep. The breakfast was superb and very well set out with appealing little jars of yogurts and preserves.
The evening meal in the restaurant was slightly disappointing. There was nothing actually wrong about it and therefore nothing to complain about at the time just a couple of things which detracted from an excellent dining experience. The meal was quite ordinary and my frites were missing from my meal. We did ask for them and received a small basket of thin french fries which were not as the menu. Our coffee arrived before our dessert and although not significant in itself just added to the overall experience. We have been to other hotels of a similar quality and this one beats them all with regard to the spa and overall experience but the dining experience does not measure up to the others.

This is a really good hotel and the service was excellent and the stafff very friemdly and helpful.
My wife used the spa and pool and found it exceptionally clean.
Our only criticism is that at very busy times. mostly at breakfast, the dining room is too small, which means that people have to wait in the longe for tables to come free.

Raithwaite Hall Feedback
All staff very friendly and extremely helpful.
Room was clean and well equipped with great shower room.
Excellent breakfast. Other food a bit expensive.
Staff happy to bring jug of milk when requested.
I stayed somewhere similar before where individual pints of milk and ice were supplied from a fridge on the landing which could be a good idea for future development.

Enjoyable stay.
We stayed in two standard rooms. One for myself and my husband and one for our granddaughter. Both rooms were lovely with all necessary amenities such as tea and coffee, hairdryer, safe and flat screen tv. The beds were very comfortable. The larger of the two rooms had a walk in shower in the bathroom and both bathrooms had good toiletries. Both rooms had skylights instead of windows with a view and this was a little disappointing.
The food in the dining room was very well presented with attention to detail and this was the same in the Poacher's Bar.
