Relaxing weekend with beer!
Great food and well tasty cask ales.
Good walk along the canal to Glasson Dock for a cup of tea and hearty snack at the Village Store, nothing was to much trouble for Jane the owner. They have just taken over and have great plans. We will be back soon.
What a find
Wow what a great find.we loved our stay here.booked into the restaurant on the evening, our meal was outstanding.
Friendly staff, excellent value for money. Amazing breakfast.attention to detail is spot on. Already recommended it to our friends.
A welcome break on our way back from Scotland
A warm welcome awaited us.
We'd upgraded to a deluxe room. It was on the top floor overlooking the lock on the canal. Unfortunately on three of the window units were "blown" and the only way to see out was to have them open. Putting this aside we had a separate sitting area with a sofa. The bathroom had a corner bath. The bedroom had a kingsize bed, the linen was white and crisp and the decor very in keeping and everywhere was immaculately clean. The bar, dining room and sitting areas were all very nice. Furniture and decor was very pleasing to the eye. We ate dinner and breakfast here and couldn't fault the food. We would definitely return.
Lovely place in the country next to the canal.
Food excellent though a bit pricey. Great for a short break to get away for peace and quiet. Would definitely return. Roads to get there very narrow and twisty!
Lovely hotel, spotless and very good value
Thank you very much.
Enjoyed the hotel and the setting next to the canal. We had the dog with us (Ally) and she was made very welcome and nothing appeared to be too much trouble.
We would definitely stay again.
As well as bed and breakfast, we also had an evening meal followed by a stroll along the canal.
The food was absolutely superb. The room was clean, comfortable and being on the second floor had a splendid view of the canal and fields. Being in the eaves our deluxe room, (room 12), would not be suitable for taller guests, due to the restricted head room, even shorter guests might get fed up with the constant ducking after a while. An excellent overnight stay and would definitely stay again.
We just saw this on Laterooms when looking for a stop en route from Aberdeen to Beistol and we're very glad we did.
It's got a lovely feel and great views from our room 15 towards the coast and over the canal. Worth the slightly confusing drive through Lancaster to find it , if you are heading south. Lots of quaint villages no mrinas nearby and coastal walks
A great location, friendly staff, great food and beautiful rooms.
A really relaxing break
Last minute booking, a hidden Gem!
It seemed further from the motorway than advised but was well worth going to.
We only wanted an overnight stop, but got an immaculate room which I only marked down because it was only a double size bed, and we are used to a king at home so it was a bit small for us. We ate in their restaurant overlooking the canal lock, a lovely setting. Food was delicious, and menu had great choices. Staff very friendly and welcoming. It's the kind of place that would be lovely for a few days away, with a very comfortable atmosphere and great surroundings inside and out. Thank you!
Will be back !
Lovely setting, lovely people , lovely hotel .
Perfect weekend . Thank you
