Sheep Pen Cottage- a home away from home.

A beautiful cottage in lovely Brancepeth.

Went up to Durham for a family reunion and have found a home away from home. Had everything you could want in self-catering accommodation, and more. Very comfortable and clean, with lovely views. Didn't want to leave!

Just beautiful!

Everything about this cottage was just perfect.

After a 6 hour journey to get there we were not disappointed - the cottage is beautiful, photos do not do it justice, and to find a pint of milk in the fridge with tea cups and Scottish shortbread laid out ready for us made us feel really welcome. Our children loved the sheep, chickens and ponies - and also the selection of board games and dvd's. We are already looking to book again!

2 Night last minute break

Having stayed in a number of cottages over the years, our stay at the Sheep Pen Cottage at Littlewhite Farm definitely took things to a new level.

The accomodation was absolutely immaculate, with many small details attended to. Extremely well equipped kitchen and two high quality bathrooms - both with showers.

Worked very well for a family with kids, as the property is basically L-shaped, with the bedrooms and bathrooms at the extremities and living space in the middle - meaning it is distinctly possible that you could get an un-disturbed night. Very comfortable (and huge) bed in the master bedroom. Location was ideal for our needs. It is not situated in the back of beyond, so access to fast routes is quick and easy, yet it is situated sufficiently far from 'civilization' as to have a peaceful, rural feel. All in all - it was an absolutely ideal choice for our short break with two boys (9 and 17).
