This B&B is a third floor (fourth floor in American terms) walk up a narrow and steep set of stairs.
Rooms are basic, as is the continental breakfast. There is a small common area, but it is not comfortable for guests. It's only use seemed to be to prepare breakfast trays. There was absolutely no tourist information available, not even a simple map of Venice. The owner was "on vacation", but answering his mobile phone for any emergency. The cleaner was a very nice Italian woman who also prepared breakfast trays. Unfortunately, she spoke only Italian.
The towels must change every day, the house owner was very helpfull.
The climb to our bedroom was incredible, but with cases it was a real challenge.
Yes the bed and bathroom were acceptable, but within minutes the inevitable was realised as I hit my head on the beams which were very low in the attic - yes we were very aware that we were in the attic. It took some time to get hot water in the shower because we were in the gods, nice it came through (usually) it was ok and hot. Breakfast was the same each day, adiquate bit monotonous, and served on a tray on your room, no second cups of coffee which was a shame and so cheap to do. Overall absolutely not good value for money. Yes it's a very central location but the price for the room is extortionate, therefore we will certainly stay at an hotel next time, even if it's less central, as we felt it was very overpriced - we had stayed in both Rome and Florence at much better value for money and more comfortable places!
very lovely little central place to stay in Venice
Can totally recommend it
I wanted to visit Venice for the Biennale and quite late with booking when I came across Ca dei Fuseri.
Everyone was very nice and helpful all the time, the Bed&Breakfast is close to San Marco and Rialto and in the same courtyard there is a small shop for organic food. I was provided with towels, the room has air condition and a TV, for breakfast I got coffee, brioche, marmelade, butter, yoghurt, Zwieback and juice. Given that Venice is super expensive also the price is ok. I can absolutely recommend it if you want to spend some nice days in Venice and you don´t have to count every penny.
very nice, clean, city center but quiet!, very helpful and friendly
B&B very well located.
Staff very friendly and helpful. The only problem was that it is on the 3rd floor, and when there is too much luggage ... But, as it is Venice, carrying luggage around is part of the trip.
