Magical, mavellous, outstanding
After seeing this property on "4 in a bed" (like many others I am sure) I arranged to go to The Wizards Thatch Camelot Suite for my anniversary with my girlfriend as it looked amazing. We were not disappointed, our hosts were outstanding in their helpfulness and the room was spectacular. I have never seen anything like it, everything was outstanding down to the small things such as having proper milk in the fridge and some cake to go with it. I would recommend to others, forget glitzy expensive hotels and go to the Wizards Thatch. An experience to remember!

One night at Wizard's Thatch
We enjoyed our short stay in the Merlin Suite, which was wonderfully quirky. The swivelling TV was a great idea! The cottage is very close to the main drag in Alderley Edge, where we headed for both evening meal (Grill on the Edge) and breakfast (Village Cafe): both were excellent.

What a great find!
This is an enchanting place seconds from the main Alderley Edge village centre. The property is full of character and charm with great facilities and a very comfortable (huge) four poster bed. I was staying on business, but wish I 'd been there for a romantic getaway with my Wife - a wonderful find in a great location. The owners are warm and welcoming, as is the property!

Great Place to Spend the Night When Flying Through Manchester
As a frequent UK-US traveller, I look for special places to spend a transatlantic stopover night rather than book into a boring airport hotel.
The Wizards Thatch is a true gem and worth the 10 minute taxi ride from Manchester Airport. From the moment you arrive at the thatch covered entrance to when you open up the 300 year old door of your suite you know it's going to be an exceptional visit. I stayed in the Wizardry which is like stepping back in time with a vast variety of historical artifacts openly on display. Although Alderley Edge has a great variety of restaurants, my recommendation would be to grab a curry from the Balti House and a bottle of good wine from Corks Out (both within a 4 minute walk) and enjoy them back in the ambience of your room.
It is very rare to find somewhere with a 99-100% rating - but in this case it is thoroughly deserved.
