No Cold Water!
Pros: nice old hotel, if a bit faded around the edges and needs some money spent on it.
Very good price at £60 for double room and breakfast at just 1 day's notice. Comfy bed, nice breakfast and friendly staff. Con: toilet only half flushed at night and wouldn't flush again then or in morning. Nice big corner bath with overhead shower. Shower boiling hot and couldn't turn it down so decided to use hand-held one on bath taps. Again, no cold water and was dancing around with burning feet by this point. Ended up having a sink wash (quite a job to get in there!). Receptionist apologised at check-out but explained very matter-of-factly that this is due to low water pressure, so must be a known problem. Rather ironic as P&H is about 1/2 mile from Edgbaston Reservoir!.
