Short stay at Kings Head, Thirlemere

Unsatisfactory from arrival.

Small room (11), bedheads dirty, very small bathroom with virtually inaccessible toilet, noisy (facing road at front of Hotel). Very overpriced and poor value.

A bit old fashioned but pleasant enough

Room was quite small and the furnishings were a bit old fashioned, but clean.

Bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean but the shower was very small, I'm 6 feet tall and was banging my head on the shower ceiling. There was no hot water available until around 8 in the morning. Breakfast was fine, the service was good, staff were pleasant, nice selection of beers in the bar and plenty of car parking available. Paid £90 for two night stay.
