Excellent country house hotel in quiet surroundings but short drive to Manchester

I stayed overnight before attending a funeral in Manchester, arriving after dark.

The hotel's location at the end of a cul-de-sac and it's decor give it a country house feel but it is convenient for the airport and the city.I would recommend the hotel to others. Our rooms were spacious and well presented with a good sized bathroom. I did not have a laptop and internet connection through my mobile phone was poor. The hotel is quiet and free from traffic noise or the sound of aircraft. However the walls are thin so you will hear your neighbours in adjacent rooms. We ate in the restaurant and the service and quality of the food was excellent. The front desk and all staff were friendly and welcoming.
