Oh no

Room was very old and tired looking, nothing a lick of paint and a new carpet wouldn't cure.

Apart from that there is no excuse for the room and en-suite having cob webs everywhere, the corridors smelled, the window was paper thin and rattled, the en-suite covered in mould and also cracked tiles in the shower. The fire door had a 40mm gap underneath it which is illegal and very unsafe. My colleague is frightened of dogs after being attacked by one as a youngster but was greeted every morning by a dog running at us barking its head off which sent him into a panic.

Our window was so thin and ill fitting that when the market right outside of it was being set up at 4.30 in the morning we were woken up and didn't get back to sleep. Another morning we were woken by someone scraping a shovel across the ground at 6.

I'm sorry to have to leave a review as bad as this as all the staff were really nice and friendly but we both couldn't wait to leave. We do this all year round and have stayed in hundreds of hotels & b&bs but this is in the top worst ones. You get stuff like this in London but not in a quaint little village. Again I hate to leave such a negative review but this needs a major overhaul or start charging a lot less
