Relaxing stay at a beautiful hotel
We booked this stay as our last break before our baby arrives and we weren't disappointed.
The hotel went the extra mile to make us welcome and to ensure we had everything we needed. Lovely touches like fresh milk, homemade biscuits, bath robes and a great range of high quality tea made the trip special. The quality of the bathroom was refreshingly modern and we enjoyed the food both at breakfast and on the evening. We are looking forward to returning after our baby is born.
Disappointing. Overpriced. Car park inadequate. Staircase to room steep. Incorrectly billed .
Nice room but overpriced.
Wardrobe a safety hazard could easily topple over. No discount offered for having to take breakfast in a cafe in the village . earliest breakfast offered 9am ???. Checkout was appalling. The bill was completely wrong. Room rate charged at extra £10. Bill include a meal and drinks which we did not take . We dined with family as a separate and paid for that meal on the night . Car park inadequate . Room advertised as river view . What river.could not be seen from our room.
Overall disappointing experience. Would not recommend.
Dear Mr & Mrs Helyer,
I was sorry to hear that your stay with us was not as you had expected. We are a newly refurbished small hotel and strive to offer the best service possible. We have recently been awarded a 4 Star Gold Rating from Quality in Tourism and will strive to continuously improve.
Our new entrance & Conservatory will be complete late July and will allow guests to either enjoy breakfast at the hotel or take a 2 minute stroll across the historic bridge to our sister company which is an award winning Artisan Bakery & Coffee Shop.
Probably the only issue we can not change is the size of our car park which currently allows parking for 15 cars. However, we take on board your comments and will try to find a solution.
I have spoken to the team with regards to your check out and it would appear that there was a little confusion with the billing - once again an area on which we can improve. Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Felton is a beautiful village in rural Northumberland and we are sure that with continued attention to the service our guests will enjoy their experience with us.
