About the hotel

Recently taken over by new managers (May 2014) Originally a coaching inn built in 1759, the Fox & Coney is set in the idyllic Yorksire village of South Cave. It offers en suite bedrooms and home cooked food. Rooms at the Fox & Coney Inn all feature TVs, hairdriers and tea/coffee making facilities, while free Wi-Fi is available in both the bar and the hotel.

Traditional breakfasts are served daily and the restaurant has a fine menu which uses locally sourced produce. The bar has casked ales, fine wines and spirits and there is also a beer garden to the rear of the premises. Cave Castle, Hessle and Cottingham golf clubs are all within a 20-minute drive. The Fox & Coney has free parking and is 5 miles from the M62 motorway. With easy access to Kingston Upon Hull & Hull Ferry terminal. At the heart of the East Yorkshire, there is the bustling market town of Beverley, which has fine food and shopping combined with a rich cultural heritage with many features, including St Mary's Church and the Minster, dating back to the 13th Century.

nice but noisy

We stayed on a Saturday night and there was a band playing so it wasn't ideal for us due to the noise and the need for an early night before a very early start - but in another circumstance we would probably have enjoyed the entertainment.

Doors and corridors are not the quietest and the town clock is very close by and strikes very hour. Is a nice place though and staff were very nice.
