Friendly and welcoming
I really enjoyed my stay in this lovely cottage with beautiful works of art in every room.
It was very peaceful and quiet and I enjoyed seeing the horses, chickens and ducks in the grounds. The excellent full English breakfast made a great start to a day touring in the Peaks. Nearby was Hayfield where 'The Village' was filmed and the starting point for the 'great trespass', the beginning of the right to roam and the National Parks in the UK. I was given leaflets and advice about where to go and the pub within walking distance served an excellent evening meal. Thank you to the hosts.
An excellent choice!
We booked this accommodation at short notice but for a relatively long stay (6 days) at a busy period.
As a result there was not much choice on the market but we luckily made the right one. Very friendly owners who made a real effort for us (we are not easy; I am vegetarian and my wife is gluten free). And a super affectionate cat and dog. Beautiful location; relatively remote but still easy to get to by car.
