About the hotel
The main public house offers a warm friendly atmosphere throughout the day and the evening. Our beautiful rural location is ideal for ramblers and dog walkers wanting to explore the many walks in the area including Pott Shrigley and Bollington which are only five minutes away. The stunning Kerridge ridge is just a stones throw away to the rear of the pub.
We have a fantastic range of quality cask ales to be enjoyed in our cosy bar areas with roaring log fires in a true rustic setting. Alternatively sample one of our great dishes from the menu or our constantly changing specials board. We endeavour to provide good quality, locally sourced food at reasonable prices. Our chef Steve uses meats from local butchers to ensure all our meat dishes are fresh and that we can consistantly deliver a home cooked flavour. There is also Bed and Breakfast accommodation available in our detached cottage, which has been converted into four tastefully refurbished bedrooms, all en-suite and with spectacular views spanning the whole of Kerridge Ridge and White Nancy.

The room was not cleaned for 3 days.
there wasnt any food available other than a pannini for the 3days of our stay and the washing machine being on a spin cycle at 3 o clock in the morning next to our room wasnt ideal, but they did do a very good breakfast.
exceptionally good night
We stayed at the Robin Hood for an overnight get away.
The surrounding area is beautiful, with some lovely walks. The pub is rustic and cosy with open fires and comfy chairs. It is what you would expect for a ramblers pub.
The bedrooms are in the converted barn opposite, 4 in all over two floors. We stayed in room 1. A clean and cosy double bed, hanging space for clothes, small TV and an en-suit. Perfect for our needs. The £45 offer for bed and breakfast was more than reasonable and breakfast was good. Food generally was excellent and very reasonably priced. We had 3 meals in all and all were good quality pub meals. However, what made this review 5 star was the new landlord Jim. His attention to his customers was second to none. I have been in 5 star accommodation and treated less than satisfactorily. Jim offered a very personal service, bringing drinks to the table, even though the pub was busy. He treated all his customers like old regulars and really made the difference. We will return!
