Great 3 night stay
Great welcome on arrival by Sheila.
Help offered with our bags. Shown to our spacious and very nicely decorated and furnished en-suite room (shower, no bath). Offered a cuppa on arrival which was served in the lounge downstairs. Home made cakes plus some biscuits. Great powerful shower that warmed up very quickly. Very quiet and comfortable night. Loved the original shutters on the windows. Breakfast was offered 8am to 9am and we were first down. The breakfast is served at a single large dining table shared by all the guests. This was fine for us, but up to you if you like this. Good breakfast choice; cereals, fruit etc. Followed by a choice of cooked breakfast. I went for the "full English" each day. Seemed like good quality ingredients, which were well presented. Peter seems to do most of the serving with (I suspect) Sheila out in the kitchen doing the cooking. Nice to chat with Peter over breakfast who was happy to advise on dinner locations and anything else he could help with. Both great hosts. WiFi was good, if not particularly fast - fine for social media, web browsing, email etc. Things to consider
It is in a very rural spot. You need to drive 10-20 minutes to get to anywhere for dinner. The acid test for me is would I return. Yes, definitely if in the area again.
Excellent spot will definitely visit again
An excellent find, perfect locations to explore the local area.
A warm welcome on our arrival with tea and coffee in the drawing room. Extremely helpful hosts and lovely accommodation. Would recommend it to anyone and will stay again when we are next visiting the area.
