Excellent quality and value guesthouse
I stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting friends nearby.
I could not fault the quality of the room, it was decorated to a high standard which was luxurious and spotlessly clean.close to the town and seafront so a perfect location. The owner was very welcoming and friendly and helped me up to my room. Breakfast was freshly cooked to order and delicious!. A cooked menu available and a selection of cereals and fruit. The room had all the amenities I needed tea and coffee facilities, shower unit and toilet and the bed was the most comfortable bed I have slept in for a long time!!overall I would definitely recommend this high quality and excellent value for money guesthouse and will return next time I visit south shields!
Very good stay in South Shields at the Elmswood Guest House
Stayed in the single room - very clean (just refurbished) and smart - nice taste in décor.
Hosts were very pleasant and cheerful. Parking is on-street nearby (no difficulty experienced) and is on a road well-known locally for a dazzling array of Indian and other restaurants. I would definitely stay there again and the cost is very reasonable. I did comment that I thought they were underselling themselves. Their photo gallery of the accommodation is accurate.
