The staff managed to be both professional and laid back at the same time- which was great.
There was a friendly atmosphere, and staff were helpful. The food was very good and well presented- with good choices, they know what they are doing. The hotel had a good layout and fabulous views over the Loch. I ended up booking an extra night. My only small criticism is I think they may have omitted to clean the bath, it was not dirty to look at but did not feel squeaky clean. Generally everything was very clean though. Entertainment was a bonus.
Good Stay Spoiled by Noise
I'd have given this 5 star all the way, but for one thing.
I go to a hotel to get into the area early the next day, in short I'm there to sleep. As soon as my head hit the pillow in a comfortable bed. I heard it, the constant and repetitive and all night long knocking from what I think was plumbing. Earplugs made no difference. Every 90 seconds the same rhythmic knocking started up again. A good night's sleep was not had. I didn't complain as it was very late and in my experience night staff have little or no experience of repairing plumbing. Perhaps I could have been moved, would the other room have suffered from the same issue. Who knows. A good nights rest spoiled by an air bubble. If this is sorted you will have a good stay in a good hotel for a decent price.
