Great Weekend Break

My wife and I recently spent two nights at this hotel.

We had picked this hotel partly because of its location. It is about a mile away from the railway station and the main bar area, far enough away so as not to be affected by noise etc but not too far to stagger at the end of the night. It was easy to locate. We were presently surprised as soon as we arrived. The lobby area is clean and bright with a friendly receptionist. Our room was on the first floor and although the layout seemed a little strange once we reached our room our initial impression was confirmed. The room and the bathroom were reasonably spacious and very clean. We were also pleased to see proper radiators rather than the fan blowers above the door that you usually find meaning that all the room was warm rather than just the doorway. We had a double room and the bed was a nice size. The shower was an over the bath type and although it took a while to warm up once it did the pressure at least was good. I must admit that I found the room a touch hot at night although for the wife it was just right but nonetheless we had good nights sleep. We chose to eat and drink away from the hotel so cannot comment on the food or bar but overall had a great weekend break and would certainly stay here again

When we reported any issues that required attention they where never resolved.

I would stay there again because the problems that we had I feel would be resolved.
