As a former manor house for Lord Trevelyan, this 17th-century property stands at the centre of the picturesque village of Goldsithney just a mile from the sea. It has also been a coaching house, a bank and post office in its time, but these days is very much the traditional family-run Cornish pub.
Situated just 1/2 mile inland from the Cornish coastal path, we are within walking distance of Mount's Bay and the iconic National Trust property, St Michael's Mount.
Lands End is 20 minutes by car and both south and north coasts are easily accessible.
If bird watching is a hobby then the marshes at Marazion and the estuary at Hayle are both about a ten minute drive. Cyclists travelling between Land's End and John O' Groats are very welcome, there is safe undercover parking for bikes.
On draught we have a range of lagers including Carlsberg, ciders including Old Rosie and Stowford Press, and cask ales including Betty Stogs (the Queen of Cornish Ales) and Adnams Broadside. We also have a selection of wines and soft drinks. We offer wholesome freshly cooked food in our lounge seven nights a week, all year round, using fresh and locally sourced produce offering you great value for money.
Children are always welcome at any time in either the public bar or the lounge.
We are pet friendly with one resident Yorkshire Terrier named Charlie.
