Very basic hotel and not the best area of Derby.
More of a hostel type and very bottom end. Ideal for youngsters on a stag or hen night and on a tight budget
Merely cover basic needs
The whole hotel has an abandoned air.
The room didn't have toilet paper, the remote control was not working, the light of the toilet was out of order...the guy in reception was quite kind and helpful and gave me another room. The tv remote control was not working neither, but the room was much nicer and I felt weary of complaining. The tv devices in both rooms were very old and had few channels available and in poor reception quality. The rooms don't look bad, but they're a bit shabby. The hotel is 2 min walk from the city centre, which is very convenient. The room was quite cheap, therefore I'd say that the value for money is alright, but doesn't feel like a bargain at all.
