Pretty Basic, but Cheap. Poor Breakfast.
I paid £37 for a single room close to Manchester Airport so that I could meet my wife from an early morning flight.
The only real attraction of this place is that it is just 5 minutes from the airport and not under the flight path. The building sits on a main road, surrounded by its own large car park. It is reminiscent of a doctor's or dentists's surgery of that 1970s style. I got a small room with a communal bathroom next door. The bed was comfortable with just a single pillow. There was a kettle, tea and instant coffee and milk capsules. Breakfast was "help yourself" and minimal, by which I mean there were a couple of dispensers of "economy level" cereals, a couple of sliced loaves, a toaster, some basic jams (no marmalade), a kettle, a milk bottle, tea bags and instant coffee sachets, some "economy level" orange juice and a tray of hard boiled eggs. That was it, so don't imagine that you'll get a cooked breakfast as part of this B&B deal. I would recommend paying just a bit more for a "proper B&B" or a Premier Inn. Although it's cheap, I don't think personally that it offers value for money because it is SO much below the standard you'd get for £5 or £10 more.
